Dancing On Ice Tour

The final Dancing On Ice Tour starts at the Phones 4 U Arena (formerly MEN Arena) on 28th March to 30th March in Manchester. Top celebs Suzanne Shaw and Gareth Gates popped into town to promote TV’s Torvill & Dean spectacular which hits the major cities as a live tour.

Pocket Manchester’s Neil Collins and James Delargy were invited in to the VIP Lounge for a chat with Suzanne and Gareth about the Dancing On Ice Tour.

When we met up with them, Suzanne was corpsing on the floor after Gareth cracked a joke and we knew it was going to be a fun interview.

Gareth talked about the 30 year anniversary of Torvill & Dean’s Bolero, and that perhaps they wanted to end the show on a high.  The ratings for the TV show are sky high and this final live tour has some top secret special surprises in store.

Suzanne boasted about Manchester being the best city ever, but was pulled back by Gareth who argued that Bradford was just as good.  We all nodded and grinned and exchanged glances before moving on!  Suzanne also gave a big shout out to inspirational school teacher, John Keating.  John taught at St Gabriel’s RC high School in Bury where Suzanne (and James the director) were students.

Saint Gabriel’s RC High School is turning 60 this year and one of John Keating’s other famous students, TV celeb Lisa Riley, is on board to help the school’s celebrations.  Lisa, star of You’ve Been Framed and Celebrity Strictly Come Dancing has joined a Facebook campaign to ring students from 1954 onwards to the event.

Let’s hope that the Dancing On Ice Tour is a huge success and good luck to Saint Gabriel’s RC High!
