Karen Danczuk applies for Bury North seat

Selfie Queen and estranged wife of Simon, Karen Danczuk has declared that she would like to be the Labour Party candidate for Bury North.
The former Rochdale Councillor and mother of two would be taking on Tory David Nuttall if successful in a constituency that was the 10th most marginal in the country at the last election.

Nuttall won the seat for the Tories in 2015 with a majority of just 378 over Labour’s James Frith after a dramatic recount.

Her husband Simon is still officially suspended from the Labour Party following outrage over his sexting a a 17-year-old girl who asked him for a job but has vowed to stand even if the party does not reinstate him for the Rochdale constituency,
A source close to Ms Danczuk, who submitted her application for the seat last week, said her campaigning on child abuse and regular media slots gives her a good shot at the seat.
